Excellence for Children, along with The First Years, has provided training and technical assistance to teachers and child caregivers in Louisiana for over twelve years. Our faculty is trained using the nationally recognized Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers curriculum.

In addition, the 1st Years provides information and referrals to families in need of childcare, as well as technical assistance to family child care homes and Class A centers in the Lafayette and Lake Charles Regions.

Together, Excellence for Children and the 1st Years are cultivating a community that appreciates and supports the development of quality, affordable and accessible childcare services.
